ADN 2.0 " High Availability Ready "
The services and information made available to your customers thanks to your ADN platform, are extremely important
for your company: your contractual commitments, your turnover and
your commercial reputation preclude any interruption to your services.
Without any modification to your current ADN server, by simply adding a second or further ADN servers,
you will be able to evolve a production architecture
creating a very high level of service. Furthermore, in the case of hardware failure,
the other server or servers will be able to maintain services.
The server farm will take place behind your actual load-balancing platform.
ADN 2.0 has an built-in capacity to preserve the coherence of data in real time (files, settings, etc.)
between the members of the farm.
Thanks to an original and reliable mechanism of application code replication,
ADN will preserve the coherence of the business services themselves.
The new servers will support your current one, updating themselves automatically without service interruption.
It should be noted that these synchronizations, be they of the data or the codes,
use a compression protocole intending to optimize the bandwidth on the local network.
The administration of your ADN server farm is done via a simple settings
available through a Web interface or using a set of command-line scripts.
The integration of one or more servers into your server farm can be done
according to the two complementary methods described below.
Add a new server
The first method allows an automatic update when a new server or servers are added.
This method allows you to add a server very simply without needing to do anything
else than a simple installation of the ADN software.
All the files containing the code and other specific data are created and updated automatically.
Updating the farm
The second method is designed to synchronize the servers in the farm to a given server.
This method allows the isolation of one of the servers in the farm and to install on the designated server
an evolution of your ADN services, to test them, and, when you wish, to put the server back into production.
All the other servers will then synchronise to the one containing the modifications.
This allows the setting up of a pre-production process very simply.
